An Obsession I Didn't Think Possible

Throughout my life I have never been a big fan of watching TV series. This excludes me sitting in front of a television set 24/7 from age 0-13 because of the adventures of characters such as He-Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and X-Men.
I have never really "followed" a serious television series. I literally forced myself to diligently watch Survivor: Australian Outback way back in 2001, but that's about it.
Last year I got my first complete season of, well, anything and it came in the form of 30Rock's first season. It made sense to watch a story from start to finish, although 324 minutes of my life would go to waste just like that.
From 30Rock I moved on to Family Guy and watched the whole series, not just a singular season. I could feel I was starting to become fit with the concept.
But the real reason why I am writing is the glorious treasure that is the series called Fringe. It's been getting a lot of hype, both positive and negative, and it's the brainchild of JJ Abrams (Lost, Alias) and it's scripted by the guys wrote the two Transformers movies.
It's like a hybrid of CSI and The X-Files, and has cryptic clues lying around the credits, subtle pieces of dialogue and even in the marketing campaigns. I am in love with this series.

"I Dreamed A Dream"

This past week I was shown the astounding Youtube phenomenon that is Susan Boyle. To the uninitiated: Susan Boyle basically shot from obscurity to digital stardom within the space of one week.
A contestant on Britain's Got Talent, she has now wowed the world (including producer of Les Miserables, the musical from which she did a song) and her perfromance is fast becoming the most watched video in the history of Youtube.
Follow the link to watch her rendition of the classic, "I Dreamed A Dream."

Genesis and Catastrophe
Now I am starting to write about myself. I am going to write about how I love music, how I love design and my infatuation with pop culture. I consider myself as somewhat of an expert of the field.
This is day one of my blog / web diary / digital journal. I've blogged before, but this time it's about my world.
Hopefully I can keep you entertained for more than two seconds and maybe teach (and learn) something from this experience.
