Burn Studios Audio App
I discovered this amazing online audio tool via www.gizmodo.com and really blew my mind.
You can create cool samples and beats by using emulated guitar pedals, beat machines and synthesizers. If you want to constructively waste a few hours try it out. It's really simple but works like a real studio setup.

Making of The Hobbit Set Video (Part 1)

As an avid action figure and toy collector this excites me beyond belief.

Green Lantern Wondercon Footage
This past weekend at Wondercon, Warner Bros. previewed new footage from the upcoming film adaptation of Green Lantern starring Ryan Reynolds, Mark Strong and Blake Lively. This preview went live on the web on Saturday but I only got to see it this morning.
I have to categorically state that the special effects are mind blowing in places, and a bit lacking in others (i.e. Hal Jordan's mask). Here is hoping that the few months left will provide post-production with enough time to fine tune everything.

Band Of The Week: Ghinzu
Hey everyone
I'm starting to do my band of the week feature again.
This week Ghinzu is blowing my head off. They have this awesome combo of OK Computer era Radiohead with beautiful ethereal moments, later giving way to brutal distorted riffage ala Queens Of The Stone Age. I personally love a band that can cover these extremes.
